To graduate from the International Master’s Program in Asia-Pacific Studies (IMAS) students must meet a number of requirements and criteria.
Coursework
The program is designed to be completed in 2 years with a maximum study time of 4 years. During this time students must complete a total of 33 credits of graduate-level courses, including 6 credits of required courses.

Thesis Writing
In addition to their regular courses, students must write a thesis and follow the next steps to successfully graduate:
- Find a supervisor
- Pass a research proposal defense
- Pass a thesis oral defense
- Pass a research ethics examination
