[alaya_dropcap]O[/alaya_dropcap]ne couldn’t ask for better weather for a graduation ceremony for National Chengchi University’s College of Social Sciences. With a warm sun, puffy white clouds, and a gentle breeze, the graduation ceremony and weather strongly favored CSS’s latest graduating class.

The ceremony was held on the 3rd floor of NCCU’s General Building of Colleges with generous amounts of free food and drinks for graduates and their family members. Traditional formalities were kept to a minimum. The Dean of Social Sciences and department heads were ready on stage to present diplomas and give words of encouragement to graduates on stage. At the same time, the audience was happily chattering away as the graduates received their diplomas.

The vibe of the day was one of accomplishment and relaxation with students taking graduation pictures all around campus and spending time with friends and family. The Social Science building buzzed with activity before, during, and after the ceremony. Despite the hectic end-of-year final exams and housekeeping, the atmosphere on campus was relaxed and celebratory. On this day students were finally able to celebrate their hard work, and not worry about tests or final papers.

NCCU’s graduation ceremony was the culmination of the student’s hard work and achievements during the past few years. With their graduation in the bag, their next chapter of life will start. Everyone here at NCCU hopes the graduates can take all of the experience and knowledge they learned here to the next adventure, and find the passions that will drive them into the future. University is not only learning from textbooks or listening to professors. Relationships formed, knowledge absorbed, and experiences gained are just as important.
